NAG has been selling computer algebra software for more than ten years and has entered into a strategic alliance with Waterloo Maple Inc. in Canada to supply software components for their Maple package.

NAG has coordinated two European projects broadly connected to computer algebra, FRISCO which was devoted mainly to solving systems of polynomials, and OpenMath which has developed and extensible framework for describing the semantics of mathematical objects.

NAG is currently interested in OpenMath and web services both of which grew out of their involvement with Computer Algebra.
