1) Camouflage Lesson Plan
The camouflage lesson plan has been designed to help teach year 7 and 8 students who are in key stage 3. The lesson plan comes under the topic “adaptation to habitat” which is part of the science national curriculum. The lesson plan has been created to explain the importance of camouflage and why it is so important to predator and prey. In order to for students to fully understand this topic they will need to have a good understanding of food chains and predator-prey relationships
2) Selective Breeding Lesson Plan
The Selective breeding lesson plan has been designed for year 9 and 10 students which means that this plan can be used for either key stage 3 or 4. The topic comes under “Life processes and Living things” which is part of the science national curriculum. The lesson plan is to help students understand the basic principles of selective breeding and how characteristics are inherited from breeding in this way. Students need to understand that mixing different genes will lead to different characteristics in order to fully understand this topic.
