sodarace

Below are the independent websites (including events) by Queen Mary Students taking the MSci course:

Soda Evolution - Lesson Plans, About Sodarace, FAQ, Downloads, Software

The basis for the project is to study how a given Sodaracer will evolve in order to optimise its performance in given terrains.

To this end, we will use Artificial Intelligence, incorporating Genetic Algorithms.  By racing over the terrains again and again, changes to the Sodaracers will occur autonomously.

Moreover, we will have several distinct terrains.  Thereby, any differences in the way that the Sodaracers evolve, in each terrain, can be noted, compared and studied.

Highbury Grove Schools Visit

The two Msci Group Project teams were given the opportunity this year to visit a secondary school and demonstrate their software.

Highbury Grove School, Highbury & Islington, were very keen in a explaining our sodarace projects to a small class of AS students (sixth form).

The visit was a great success and it can be experienced via these photos and video clips.
